Vehicle Description 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 RS Restomod 585-HP LS V8 | Tremec TKO 5-Speed | Vintage Air | Moser 12-Bolt Collectible Motorcar of Atlanta is proud to present this striking 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 RS Tribute Restomod, a thoughtfully built first-generation restomod combining unmistakable classic Camaro styling with the power, drivability, and comfort of a modern performance car. Finished in deep black with crisp white Z/28 rally stripes, this Camaro has an aggressive, timeless appearance. The stripes flow across the cowl-style hood, roofline, deck lid, and rear spoiler, creating a dramatic contrast against the glossy black finish. The front end features the unmistakable Rally Sport appearance, complete with a blacked-out grille and Detroit Speed electric hideaway headlight doors. Z/28 and Rally Sport badging, bright chrome bumpers, deluxe bumper guards, a front chin spoiler, and a rear deck spoiler complete the classic muscle-car presentation. Polished five-spoke American Racing wheels give the Camaro a purposeful stance without overpowering its original body lines. The staggered 18-inch wheel and tire combination includes 225/45ZR18 front tires and 255/45ZR18 rear tires, providing a wide, planted look and plenty of road presence. Under the hood is a cleanly installed LS-based V8 rated at 585 horsepower, built with a street-friendly 9.5:1 compression ratio. Electronic fuel and ignition management are handled by a Holley EFI/Terminator system, with an in-cabin display mounted within easy reach of the driver. The engine bay is neatly presented in gloss black and features an AFCO aluminum radiator, modern accessory drive, polished power-brake hardware, and a well-organized installation. Long-tube headers feed a full 3-inch exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers, giving the Camaro the deep, authoritative exhaust note expected from an LS-powered first-generation muscle car. The combination delivers immediate throttle response and strong power while remaining manageable for regular street use. Power is sent through a Tremec TKO five-speed manual transmission, allowing the driver to fully enjoy the LS engine while also benefiting from an overdrive gear for more relaxed highway cruising. A white shift ball rises through the woodgrain center console, giving the upgraded drivetrain a clean, period-inspired appearance. Out back, a heavy-duty Moser 12-bolt rear end with 3.73 gears provides the strength and gearing needed to put the engine's power to the pavement. The chassis has been upgraded to match the drivetrain. Power steering makes the Camaro easy to maneuver, while power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors deliver confident stopping performance. This combination of modern braking, a strong rear axle, wide performance tires, and a five-speed transmission makes the car considerably more capable and enjoyable than a stock 1969 Camaro while preserving the direct, mechanical driving experience enthusiasts appreciate. The interior is one of the car's strongest features. The black Deluxe interior is fitted with classic black-and-white houndstooth upholstery on the front bucket seats and rear bench. The upholstery pairs beautifully with the black door panels, carpeting, headliner, and dash, while woodgrain trim across the dashboard and center console adds warmth and an authentic late-1960s appearance. A three-spoke rosewood steering wheel is mounted on a tilt steering column, giving the driver a comfortable seating position and a classic view across the hood. Instrumentation includes a factory-style tachometer and a console-mounted auxiliary gauge package monitoring fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and electrical output. The white-ball five-speed shifter, three-pedal layout, woodgrain console, and houndstooth upholstery create a cockpit that feels appropriately vintage despite the modern mechanical upgrades.
